The Dance Section offers something for everyone with classes from Ballet to Hip Hop and Greek to Song and Dance. Our competitors range in age from 3 years to Senior Citizens and everything in between.
The principal aim is for our dancers to gain performance experience and to have fun showcasing their work in a relaxed yet professional environment.

We extend a warm welcome to
Linda Young our Dance Adjudicator for 2019

Linda started dancing at the age of 3 and completed her training at the Nesta Brooking School of Dance, London. She taught in the UK and Canada before founding and running her own school in North London for over 20 years. She has been pleased to see many of her ex-students progress to vocational training and careers in the theatre.

As a member of the Cecchetti Society, Linda worked on the sub-committee responsible for the creation of the Performance Awards and was a proud recipient of the Peter Pearson Scholarship. Linda attained Fellowship status of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in 2003.

Raised in Highbridge, Linda was an enthusiastic dance participant in this festival for many years. As a teacher, she encouraged her pupils to take part, and is now delighted to adjudicate for the festival and share her love of dance with other enthusiasts.
